How do I choose between coconut shell, bituminous coal, and wood-based activated carbon?
Select the raw material whose pore-size distribution matches your target adsorbate molecular weight. Coconut shell activated carbon is 85–90% microporous (<2 nm), ideal for low-MW compounds like free chlorine, VOCs, THMs, PFAS, and [Au(CN)2]- gold complexes. Bituminous/anthracite coal activated carbon provides a balanced micropore and mesopore (2–50 nm) network for surface water TOC and industrial wastewater COD. Wood-based powdered activated carbon (PAC) features wide mesopores and macropores (>50 nm) for rapid decolorization of sugar syrups, citric acid, APIs, and edible oils.
Can DXD Carbon match Calgon Carbon, Norit, or Jacobi Carbons specifications?
Yes. Our Shizuishan laboratory cross-references international grades (Calgon Filtrasorb 300/400, OLC 12x40, AP4-60, GRC-22; Norit GCN 1240, GAC 830, Darco, RB3/RB4; Jacobi AquaSorb, GoldSorb, EcoSorb, ColorSorb) across ASTM D4607 iodine number, ASTM D3802 hardness, ASTM D3467 CTC, and ASTM D2862 mesh distribution. What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), packaging format, and container loading capacity?
Standard commercial MOQ is 1 metric ton (1,000 kg). Export packaging includes moisture-lined 25 kg PP woven or kraft bags and 500 kg / 1,000 kg FIBC bulk super sacks on pallets. A 20GP container loads 9–11 MT, and a 40HQ container loads 20–24 MT.
What quality documents and third-party inspections are provided with bulk shipments?
Every shipment includes a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) tested to ASTM/AWWA standards, Technical Data Sheet (TDS), 16-section GHS Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and container seal photographs. Pre-shipment inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas (BV), Intertek, or CCIC is supported.
